VI: 15

Chapter 6, Verse 15

"Ever thus collecting themselves,
Yogis grow peaceful
And vanish
Into the crowning peace of Nirvana,
The peace that is in me."

Father Bede Griffiths:

Nirvana is the Buddhist term for going "beyond."  The Buddha simply spoke of the state "beyond" and taught the way to reach it, but he never described Nirvana.  Nirvana can only be known by experience.

Krishna is now transmitting to Arjuna the truth that this Nirvana, this state of stillness that is also abiding joy and peace, is found in him.

We are now being introduced to the experience of a personal God.
