Chapter 4, Verse 4
"Vivashwan was born long before you.
How am I to believe
That you were the first
To teach this Yoga?"
Sri Aurobindo:
"The practical intelligence of Arjuna is baffled by the Lord's assertion that it was he who in ancient times revealed to the Sun god the same Yoga, since lost, which he is now again revealing to Arjuna. The question provokes the famous and oft-quoted statement of Avatarhood and its purpose which Krishna brings forth in the following verse."
